The Law Fulfilled in Love Galatians 5:13-14
*Galatians 5:13-14 KJVS
For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another. For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.*
May we be reminded that all the law for is fulfilled in love. Both believers and unbelievers produce works but only those of which have a basis in the Cross are accepted. Only the works that spring forth from the faith that God grants are good. From the surface, we cannot tell the difference but know the intentions of the heart.
Yes, this is why we do not judge based on works but we judge based on the gospel. Therefore, may we been keen to examine doctrine, even that which we hold, according to the Scriptures. May we exhort and instruct the fellow brethren in love. May we likewise receive sound counsel from our brothers and sisters with rejoicing.
May we grow in grace and knowledge and not look to our hands for assurance but may we look to the hand of God for each and every provision He makes which verily was ordained before the world began. Our may we watch as our salvation is worked out before our very eyes by God that is sovereign. We know that I our workings in faith it is Him that works in us both to will and to do.
*Philippians 2:12-13 KJVS
Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.*
If our love is true, may we know it is because He first loved us. May His name be magnified in the gospel of His sovereign grace shown towards His saints who are perfected by ONE offering. Amen!
*1 John 4:19-21 KJVS
We love him, because he first loved us. If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen? And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also.*
