Since God is Sovereign, Does It Even Matter how precise you are about the Gospel?

For the Elect Alone

Tolerant Calvinists i tell us that, while Arminians may THINK that their salvation is conditioned on them, those Arminians are still saved and that this their salvation is not conditioned on them. After all, they say, they are not “stingy with the love of God”.

Does this mean that God loved the elder brother in spite of his legalism? Since most of those tolerant Calvinists claim that God has an universal “non-saving love” for all sinners, I am sure they would say that God does love “in some way” that elder brother.

But is that elder brother justified before God? Must the one who came home from the hog pen confess that the elder brother is his brother? Back in the days when I became an universalist, I said yes: all are brothers.

What do you say? I do not ask if you think the elder brother was non-elect in…

The Spirit is LIFE because of Righteousness Romans 8:8-10

It’s not rocket surgery, folks. It’s CLEAR to they that are HIS.

http://ift.tt/2u6kY5b
*Romans 8:8-10 KJVS
So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. [9] But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. [10] And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.*

We ONLY have spiritual life to believe the gospel in truth because righteousness had been imputed to us!

Contrary to the SNAP! hit “I got the power”, we verily do not have the power to choose life or death. Yeah, God will have mercy on whom He will have mercy, and compassion on whom He will have compassion.

It is fully within His authority to do as He will with His things. Oh, thank God for those of us that are saved to render unto Him praises of GLORY!

NOT AS PARTICIPANTS BUT RECIPIENTS!

Christ is the REST of the SAINTS. Those caught up in the religious rat race have yet to or will not be enlightened but everyone that is His will have theie eyes opened to the truth proclaimed in the Scriptures.

Not by the power of men, but by the sovereign grace of God. AMEN!

Fleeting Thoughts of a Humbled Mind

![X4mqaHs.jpg](http://ift.tt/2uxFmhy)
**Fleeting thoughts of a humbled mind.
Observing greater features of design.
We think we know. Not as we ought.
We tell our other stories as we are taught.**

**The tales we speak mirror a thing unseen.
Known not by eyes of the flesh, by Spirit we glean.
When the wisdom of men fails, then we see,
Growing but smaller, Made servants yet free.**

**The Cross is a symbol of Glory for the One.
The Only Begotten, Preeminent Son.**

Gospel for Dummies and Triple Imputation

![image](http://ift.tt/2ul9EVj)

The gospel is not complicated or difficult contrary to what the fancy theologians would have you believe. (It’s their job security, after all!)

The gospel is, at it’s core, a simple message of not what Jesus could (in potentiality) do for you but what Jesus has done (in actuality) for His Elect.

One of the most defining aspects of the gospel of sovereign grace is a definite transaction taking place at the cross rather than a possible one that is contingent on men “doing their part” that is presented in false religion.

The notion of God requiring sinners to fulfill a condition in order to receive salvation stands in opposition to God’s justice. Why you ask? Here is a breakdown.

1. False religion says Jesus died for everyone’s sins

2. In a courtroom, it would be unjust for a judge to enact a penalty for a crime that has been paid.

3. There will be sinners who face judgment for sins their Jesus paid for in blood under this system.

This is not justice and the Scriptures are perfectly clear that God is just.

>Revelation 15:3 KJVS
And they sing the song of Moses the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and marvellous are thy works, Lord God Almighty; just and true are thy ways, thou King of saints.

>Proverbs 11:1 KJVS
A false balance is abomination to the Lord : but a just weight is his delight.

And he justifies the UNGODLY apart from works!

>Romans 4:5-8 KJVS
But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness. [6] Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works, [7] Saying , Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered. [8] Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin.

A common emphasis you may note in sovereign grace circles is that of imputed righteousness. Imputed means to “reckon”. It is an accounting term. The righteousness of Christ is imputed to the elect sinners account just as Adam’s sin is imputed to the entirety of the human race.

>Romans 5:10-15 KJVS
For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. [11] And not only so , but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement. [12] Wherefore, as by one man (Adam) sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned: [13] (For until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not IMPUTED when there is no law. [14] Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam’s transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come. [15] But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if THROUGH THE OFFENCE OF ONE many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many.

All men are born under this curse and remain spiritually dead until righteousness is imputed when they are born again of the Spirit. The direct result is faith in the biblical gospel, faith authored by the LORD Jesus Christ.

>Romans 8:8-10 KJVS
So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. [9] But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. [10] And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is LIFE BECAUSE of RIGHTEOUSNESS.

Hebrews 12:2 KJVS
Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

So, far we have covered, 2 of 3 imputations. The imputation of Adam’s sin to his posterity, and the imputation of Christ’s righteousness to sinners. But there is another and it occurred at the cross of Christ. This is the imputation of the sins of the elect to Christ.

2 Corinthians 5:21 KJVS
For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

1 Peter 2:24 KJVS
Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.

This is crucial as it requires that certain sins having been imputed to Christ on the cross or else we face the double jeopardy dilemma above. The logical conclusion is that ONLY the sins of those who WILL receive eternal life, that is those predestined before the foundation, had been imputed to Christ at the cross and he has paid them in FULL!

Let’s break it down Barney style…

![image](http://ift.tt/2t1uQvp)

Here is the sequence of imputation for NT saints.

![image](http://ift.tt/2ul845M)

Adam’s sin imputed to mankind > the elect’s sins imputed to Christ > Christ’s righteousness imputed to the saints

It’s as simple as that while at the same time it remains a mystery spare they to whom God reveals it.

>Matthew 11:25 KJVS
At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes.

The gospel so simple…

No offense, Fred!

ONLY via divine revelation by the power of God, of course!

All glory be to Him!
